Welcome to Tulane's Research and Lab Safety Resources

Attention:

Starting March 5th, SciQuest will be shut down in preparation for the transition to WaveWorks. Until the new system goes live on April 13th, any chemical purchases must be made using a P-Card.

During this transition period (March 5th – April 13th), the OEHS approval process will be conducted through an alternative procedure. Please follow these instructions for all chemical orders:

  1. Check the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each chemical you intend to order.
  • If the SDS contains the signal word "WARNING" or "DANGER", please send an email to OEHS@tulane.edu with the following information:
  • Full name of the chemical
  • Manufacturer’s name
  • Quantity ordered

Note: You may list all chemicals requiring approval in a single email.

  1. If the chemical does not have a signal word, no email to OEHS is required.
  2. Airgas orders will be communicated to OEHS separately and do not require an email from you.

Please note that this process will only be in place until the WaveWorks launch on April 13th. Thank you for your cooperation.
