Training

ATTENTION!

Due to the move of training resources to WaveWorks, some training modules may not be immediately available on March 20.  Please be patient as OEHS works to migrate and consolidate training with updated content to better serve the Tulane community.  Some OEHS webpages and resources still reference TULearn/Bridge and are being updated.  Please email OEHS@tulane.edu with any questions about training.

Note that Student Employees will now use WaveWorks to access training, instead of Canvas.  Canvas will continue to be available to students who are not classified as Student Employees.

Employee and Student Employee Training

Training modules are available online through WaveWorks.

When using the platform for the first time, follow the Logging into WaveWorks instructions.

EMPLOYEE GUIDE       MANAGER GUIDE        SUPPORT PAGE

ALL employees must complete Mandatory Annual Training every year.  Fire Safety explains how to prevent fires and how to respond to a fire in your building.  Hazard Communication reviews how to identify workplace hazards and how to convey their presence to others.

  1. Fire Safety - OEHS
  2. Hazard Communication - OEHS

Additional Hazard-Based Training is required, depending on the Employee or Student Employee's work activities.  Supervisors use this Safety Training Compliance Needs Assessment to determine what additional training is required and assign it to the employee in WaveWorks.  Supervisors must then ensure that employees complete all required training. Employees should download and save training certificates or transcripts to verify completion.

Visit the Lab Safety Training webpage for training information and links specific to lab workers.

In addition to the training modules, your supervisor may require in-person training for employees based on their specific work activities or materials used in the workplace.  Documentation of completed training must be retained.

Students (who are not Student Employees) Training
