Teaching Assistant Safety Training
To ensure that Tulane Teaching Assistants working in Teaching Labs are fully prepared for potential emergencies or student injuries, OEHS has developed a Teaching Assistant Safety Training module. The course covers how to evaluate hazards, respond to emergencies, and report student injuries. Annual completion of the course is mandatory.

Print out the below packet for your campus. It contains an Emergency Information Poster listing emergency contacts and a Spill Response Flow Chart showing how to respond to a chemical spill. Copies must be posted somewhere visible in each Teaching Lab room.
