EHS Specialist I performs duties relative to laboratory and research safety issues on all campuses. EHS specialist is responsible for approving chemical purchases, and performing tasks associated with the collection, consolidation, segregation, and safe/ compliant handling of the generated hazardous waste materials. The EHS Specialist I also participate in the on call and Emergency Response Program for safety and health issues at Tulane and assist other OEHS personnel as needed.
