OEHS Mission Statement:
Tulane’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) serves by protecting the health and safety of the University community and ensuring the protection of our environment. We are committed to meeting or exceeding local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and strengthening our safety culture whereby safety and health are core values held by all levels of the University – all in advancement of the Tulane’s core mission of excellence in research, teaching and community service.
Key Goals:
- Hazards are anticipated, recognized, evaluated, eliminated, or controlled.
- Our employees are trained to be aware of potential hazards and know how to eliminate or reduce risks.
- We prevent and reduce the frequency/severity of injuries and illnesses.
- All employees are empowered to be safety champions in their work environments.
